I have taught clogging for the past eight(8) years in Walnut Ridge, AR. I enjoy seeking out new challenges, especially in the world of dance. I delight in teaching and watching people grow in traditional dance. My personal goal is to help preserve and promote our heritage of all traditional dance.

History of the Gateway Cloggers

The town of Walnut Ridge was chosen to extend to the people of the community and surronding areas this American Folk Dance. The instructor felt this dance was so much part of the peoples heritage that everyone should have an opportunity to participate. The Gateway to the Ozarks Theathre on Main Street in Walnut Ridge was the only place available in February of 2000 when classes began. Many turned out but few stayed. Upon completion of basics, it just seemed natural to take on the name of Gateway Cloggers. The Gateway Cloggers are now twenty-two dancers strong. Kathey Huskey-Wilson of Jonesboro has been the director and instructor of the group since they started in February of 2000.
